You can make a cool tube from a pyrex round bread loaf ,Wal-Mart. I would use both lights if I could. If you cool the hood or reflector, you'll be good! Make 1 hood for both bulbs. Like a duel reflector. You'll just have 2 ballasts. What is your room size?Multiply length x width x height. That will give you the cubic feet of the room, and you size the fan to how many CF of air you want to exhaust.

I've never done a scrog in that small of an area. You could use a 95 or a bit larger. The scrog's I've done has been with a fair amount of floor space. That was in the past. Now I have a couple of rooms that are 8x8x5 and 6x6x5. I could work with a scrog in that amount of space.Your experiment can be done,in that space. Just use 2 or 3 plants.

Now I see I did'nt type CFM..Hmmmmm? I been stoned for 3 days! But,yeah. That was what I meant. 95 cfm.Hydrofarm has 1 and so does Dayton.Hydrofarm has this one.

    95 CFM ActiveAir Blower System
    SKU: FN95SYS
    Suggested Retail: $74.95

4" intake flange. For medium inflation jobs and exhausting air outside.
Exchanges air in a 200 cu. ft. room in 2 minutes.

    Flange Type: 4 hole square.
    Motor Hp: 1/80 th.
    Amperage Draw: 0.5

    I got 2-265 and a 465,all 3 are hydrofarm.They are pretty quiet.Inlines are better.

Gotta be honest..a 70w MH/HPS isn't going to put out that much heat. If you could just leave your door open with any sort of basic fan operating while the light is on during flowering, you'd probably be fine. I definitely wouldn't worry about a cooltube, which is great for the bigger lights/grows like GaGrown is talking about, but probably isn't worth it for a small area.

Andā??again this is just my opinionā??you're talking about an area where you'd be better off with CFLs. Because you get better canopy penetration and more efficiency, HPS is better for large areas. But you're talking about .04 of a sq. m. I would consider making your cab a bit largerā??maybe 30cm x 30cm. A 70w HPS puts out about 5400 lumens, so it's enough for an area of that size. You'd be in the ballpark with 3 26w CFLs as well...and would probably eliminate cooling issues. Just my .02.
