    Prime place to grow

I have 2 rooms I can use to grow indoors, obviously limitless closets, and cabinets. Iā??m sure one day I will be begging for help about keeping my plant healthy right now I have to pick the best spot.

    Here are the prime spots
Master bedroom, water, exhaust fans, large window on one side that gets a fantastic breeze blowing into it, super duper closets along one wall. It also would be easy to regulate temperature, but a room everyone has to pass by.

Giant Master Bedroom, entire floor with no one ever knowing it exists. Huge balcony, fireplace, bathroom, with breeze. Separate stair well with skylights. The big question is this room can spike up 100+ degrees on an 80 degree day, it is hard to cool but not too expensive since I am on the energy saving plan with the electric company.

FYI- It may be worth some other people on this board looking into breaks from the electric providers they have. I get 65% of my bill in June- Sept, I agreed to let Edison kill my air anytime they need too and for any amount of time needed. Only my air, and you pick how long they can kill your air and they have set discounts for it. My air was turned off maybe 4 times in the summer, maybe 2 hours but it took a long time till I noticed. My air ran almost all day and all night with 3 story house high vaulted ceilings, lots of old windows and sliders, and the bill was never more then $70 to cool 1500sqft. Its free in my area to sign up!

By the way I have had some of my best laughs here since I joined a few days ago.....................you guys are a riot:jointsmile:
but so helpful to one another because you share one passion and I hope I find that passion once I get past the initial set up.

When they kill your "air", do they kill your electricity altogether (including lights)? That will be important to know...

Nope its a remote transmitter on the AC unit outside, its only kills the AC. Putting in a wall unit AC wouldnt be hard just in cast the air was ever off for a really long time. I was also not sure if having the sklylight/sunlight is any help if you grow indoors?

    Thanks

The skylight will not do much for you light-wise, other than make it difficult to control the light/dark period.

You'll have to cover that skylight with panda film.
I'm moving this to the grow lounge.
    Seeya in the cultivation section!!!
Hint: Don't skimp on exhaust early on. Good light, good exhaust... anything else, there may be a cheaper way... but that EXHAUST is key... Air cooled hood and a big ass fan are your two best friends in the garden.

    Hey LF,

My choice is the Master Bedroom that nobody ever knows it exists. As long as you have access to water and are able to ventilate the room adequately, that should work out well. BTW, how high are the ceilings?

SECURITY has to be one of your biggest concerns: don't tell ANYBODY you are growing unless absolutely necessary, and only if they help keep the garden.

Also be prepared to spend equal amounts of money on both Lighting and Ventilation, especially if temps get up around 100 F on occasion. My grow last Sept got up to 100 F and I'm less than 2 miles from the beach... poor plants were stunted since there was no AC...

Lets say I will have a full time job just regulating the temp up in the room, but its not going to hopefully cost much once summer gets here and Edison applies that discount. I have a ceiling fan with dual motors that propel the blades in the opposite direction of one another.
Here are the specs and a picture because this fan spins in opposite directions
The revolutionary 60 In. & 52 In. 4 blade Cessna ceiling fan innovative counter rotational blades. 20 degree blades rotate in different directions, powered by two heavy duty 172 x 14 mm motors

Funny you mention gardener...................At first I sort of had a guy who you could compare to Smokey (Friday), smoking the weed I think other people had given him to sell. Betwen you and me he is gone because we disagree on what you call good weed.

LF, that will be fine for air movement I suppose, but temp control is different. Have you read the thread -- http://boards.cannabis.com/indoor-gr...-progress.html -- it is a bit of a long read but it will teach you a lot.
