I don't think Ron Paul has any chance to win even a single state primary, and I do not personally support him because some of his policies are wacky in my opinion. But I do not think any of the declared candidates with as much support as has should be excluded from any of the media forums.

Just because a candidate will not win does not mean they don't add value to the process of debate. In the case of Ron Paul, he brings the strongest voice in favor of personal liberty and respect for the constitution. It's importatnt to bring that point of view into the debate so that other candidates are forced to take a stand on these important issues. I feel the same way about fringe parties like the Green party. Their candidates seldom stand a chance, but they bring important issues to the table that would otherwise be ignored. If they have supporters, other candidates take note.

On a side note, the other contribution that Ron Paul has made to this election is to energize a lot of people who have been alienated from politics. I hope they don't all just stand out the rest of the election if he doesn't win the nomination --- a few people have posted that they would not vote in the general election if he wasn't on the ticket. You need to stay engaged. Do you think Ron Paul will give up all politics if he doesn't win? Of course not. If you really believe in his message, then you need to carry it forward --- other candidates will take note. If you just withdraw from the process, why would any candidate care what you believe? If there is no chance of getting your vote, they will ignore you.
