Ron Paul excluded from Fox News Debate

    December 28, 2007 10:39 pm EST

ARLINGTON, VIRGINIA ?? According to the New Hampshire State Republican Party and an Associated Press report, Republican presidential candidate and Texas Congressman Ron Paul will be excluded from an upcoming forum of Republican candidates to be broadcast by Fox News on January 6, 2008.

??Given Ron Paul??s support in New Hampshire and his recent historic fundraising success, it is outrageous that Dr. Paul would be excluded,? said Ron Paul 2008 campaign chairman Kent Snyder. ??Dr. Paul has consistently polled higher in New Hampshire than some of the other candidates who have been invited.?

Snyder continued, ??Paul supporters should know that we are continuing to make inquiries with Fox News as to why they have apparently excluded Dr. Paul from this event.?

Ron Paul excluded from Fox News Debate

There is a media blackout on this story. I suggest calling and emailing Fox News, and also the New Hampshire Republican Party if you believe Ron Paul should be included in the debate on January sixth.

    Good idea.

I am not Ron Paul supporter, though I do respect the free exchange of ideas. However, as a private actor, Fox can exclude whoever they want. I have a hard time calling this censorship, as this is not done by the state. (Most definitions of censoring imply actions by a government.)

Fox News does have some fascist tendencies though. I can see why they would exclude Paul.

There is no excuse for this, he is the most popular candidate. This is basically an assault and insult to the people.

There is a difference between conservative and neo-conservative. The party is controlled by the latter, which means the crazy right wing (stone teh gays! marijuana kills 15/15 smokers!) has the support of the lemmings (Fox, Churches, ect.). This means anyone that disagrees with their narrow minded ideals, even if they are a member of the party, is denied any chance to prove themselves wrong.

Free speech doesn't really work with a biased news source. Ron Paul doesn't have a chance to win when his own party is screwing him over because of his 'crazy' traditional conservative ideals.

edit: Oh, funny thing I noticed. Isn't Fred Thompson being included when he only is polling like 3.6% while RP is polling 5-6%?

    Whats up with that Fox?
