Nanner, I started with a rectangle and first tacked over the sides that were going to make the long edge of the sack. You have to do this so no raw edges will be exposed where the drawstring comes out. Then I folded down what was going to be the top into the inside part and sewed that down to make a sleeve for the drawstring. I sewed that shut with the drawstring already in it. Then I sewed the bottom edge inside-out. Then turned it right side out and whipstitched the long edge which I had already hemmed, stopping just where the drawstring came out. Voila! I have a sewing machine but I was too lazy to set it up, lol. I gotta get a better pic. Next time I make a pouch I'll do a step by step.
