My cousin is immune
OK so the other night my cousin and I loaded up my bong about 5 times and smoked every bit of my stash. I was higher than a kite in about 5 minutes but he never once felt anything. He has smoke a pipe a couple times, and never really felt anything either. Also, this was his first time using a bong.
Is there any way that he'll ever be able to experience the high that I am feeling? It was kind of awkward being high all night and giggling at every little thing when he was just sitting there normal.MasterKief Reviewed by MasterKief on . For some people it takes a few times before they really get high, make sure hes inhaling right, and just smoke with him a couple times.

I didn't really get high until my 3rd or fourth time smoking. I don't know if it is because i wasn't inhaling right or what, but just keep at it. Soon he will get that feeling and it will be hilarious to watch him react to it for the first time.

Make him hold it in for a long time. Or use a waterfall bong. No one can overdose on weed, so he can always smoke more and more and more. People have different tolerances.

Hmm, perhaps his thc receptors haven't been activated yet.. The only way he's gonna get high is if keeps smoking. Tell him to inhale deep so you can actually hear the air being sucked in, tell him to hold it for 5 seconds before exhaling. Repeat 5-8 times, all should be well.

One of my friends is "immune" as well. We each had three brownies one night. An hour later I was gone (so gone i was listening to the Beatles "love" album and watching the visualizer). Yet he was completely sober.
He said something like 5% of people don't have receptors (Is this true?) and therefore can't get high. I haven't bothered to look up the facts about it.

Everybody has cannabinoid receptors. We have them all over and our bodies produce our own natural endocannabinoids that they respond to.
The more I read about G proteins and CB1 and CB2 receptors, the more I believe that while they're naturally designed to respond to our endocannabinoids, not all receptors respond to exo-cannabinoids (cannabinoids from external sources like smoked or eaten or vaped weed) in the same way. I was slow to respond when I first smoked, and I've seen that same experience related here plenty of times. I'm sure that just as there are people who easily get completely baked on two hits, there are also people who wouldn't get high if they smoked the weed equivalent of a full pack of unfiltered cigarettes. I think those who're that resistant are the exception rather than the rule, but I do think they exist.
My condolences to your cousin, MasterKief. I hope he'll keep trying a few more times. It took me about 7 exposures before I felt it. A less tenacious girl would have given up, but I was determined. Maybe with a few more tries, he'll feel it, too. If you've been smoking with him until now, maybe you can finagle a way he can try eating it instead and see if he can get some results that way.\"That best portion of a good man\'s life: his little, nameless, unremembered acts of kindness and love.\"

hmm, well for the record, it took me about 3 to 4 months of consistent smoking everyday until i actually got high and it wasn't a pleasant experience lol also i believe i read some where that it took Willy Nelson about the same time for him to actually get high lol so it might take months......who knows, but im sure your friend will get high eventually. oh and another thing that i find weird is that i am still having a hard time getting high off digesting pot based goods, weird indeed........

The first 2 or 3 times I smoked (joints) I didn't get high, I wasn't even sure what "high" was.
It took until I hit a bong (on my 3rd or 4th time, something like that) until I certainly knew what "high" is.
I don't know if this is because I wasn't inhaling properly, or because I just didn't get high due to some weird and wonderful explanation to do with the way our bodies work.
A few more times and he should be sweet.

Oh yeah, that reminds me. When my wife first smoked she didn't realize she was high, but she was. It's kind of funny how that works.
