Election 2008 Republican Nomination
RealClearPolitics - Election 2008
Nice source of information if you keep track of various polls. Don't look good for the Paulie's out there though.

Good link!
Paul's raising a lot of money and generating lots of Web talk, but he's not showing much hope of being able to go past that. I want to know who he'll ultimately throw his endorsement behind when the primaries are over, if he endorses another candidate.

Election 2008 Republican Nomination
i like some of ron pauls politics but dislike many others, i myself was behind gravel.
paul is a snowball in hell, he will not win.( hillary is goin to win the powers that be have already decided.(sarcasm)). he may be gettin a lot of money and alot of internet chatter but he gets almost no coverage on the news and internet chatter is meaningless. a lot of the chatte comes from a) non-americans who dont count as far as a vote is considered b) kids who arent old enogh to vote and c) people who are old enough to vote but just dont do it. so to sum that up a lot of these folks just dont count when it comes election time. and if hes raised all this money what is he doin with it? if it was me runnin for president i would have as many commerials as possible, but i aint seen not one single add for paul but i am flooded with adds for hillary, rudy, barrack, mit, and now huckabee.
whoever wins the presideny god help us all, cause in my opinion we are screwed no matter what

Election 2008 Republican Nomination
AOL Straw Poll Almost 300,000 votes.
Don't put too much stock in polling. Most Ron Paul supporters are young and most likely do not own lan lines (like myself). Cell phones are not called for polls and registered independents are generally not contacted at all ether. Most polls uses between 600-1000 people. Hardly a good sampling rate of almost 300 million Americans.
Regardless of if your a Ron Paul supporter or not, don't let polls TELL you who to vote for.

Also, most "traditional" telephone polls poll "likely Republican voters" and they define likely as those that are registered republican and voted in the last election...Which is either 4 or 6 percent (I forget which). So the 400-500 people they call are farmed from a very very minor section of the republican party that bothered themselves to go and vote 2 years ago.
Not very definitive at all, imo.

Election 2008 Republican Nomination
one big problem is that in states like mine, indiana you have to be a registered republican in order to vote in the primary. Most Paul supports, well not most but a lot are registered independant and wont be able to vote in the republican primary. If you want to vote for Ron Paul you have to register as a *gasp* republican

yokinazu: He has commercials in the key battleground states. If you lived in NH, IA, SC or NV - you'd be seeing/hearing a lot more about him. He will win NH. Even pollster John Zogby suggested this.
Those are good points made about the 'scientific polling' issues, especially the fact that they are polling 'likely Republican voters' out of the pool of voters from the last election. That is key!
But in stark contrast to the polls, I think he stands a good chance at winning the GOP nomination. I changed my voter registration to vote for him in the primaries and I know a lot of others who have done the same - independents, democrats, libertarians and apathetic.
It seems clear that We the People want Ron Paul.
Graphic Proof!
Look at the straw polls - Ron Paul has won most of these (29 to be exact) and has a nationwide average of 33% support - destroying the competition just like he does in all the post-debate polls, on-line polls, and he even won a Zogby 'blind-bio' poll.
But the media subverts the truth and the true will of the people. I know we all don't agree on Ron Paul, but there is no denying the establishment-controlled media is slanted against a Ron Paul candidacy.
The man that amasses over 130,000 donors and $20 million in one quarter should not be considered a 'long-shot'. Like said above, don't let the polls, or the media, or anybody tell you who to vote for...research these candidates. Why vote based on someone's ability to deliver charismatic speeches or their religious beliefs. Vote on the issues, consider the integrity of the candidate, the past performance and voting record, the principles they uphold, the will to defend and restore the constitution.
