    My problem.

Hey everyone. I guess I'll get right to the point. Last time I smoked, which was almost 4 months ago, I had a panic attack. I spent alot of timing coming to the conclusion it was a panic attack, a really bad one at that, and I am beginning to want to smoke again.

I want to give a good idea of what we are dealing with here, so let me give some background. I am 18 years old, last year of highschool, and a rather new smoker actually. I smoked maybe once every few months from 9th grade to 12th, but this year I guess I got abit more into it. Even so, I would still consider myself a rather new smoker, and I really enjoy it. However that was until I had the panic attack.

It came on the day of my SATs actually, after a hard morning of stressful testing, I invited a person over, someone I actually didn't feel fully comfortable with, now that I think about it, and we smoked. Considering my limited experience, we smoked alot, 2 pretty good size joints and a bowl, and then went into my room. As we walked into my room, I could tell I was outrageously high, and he was too. Well everything was going okay, and then he seemed to put into my head that maybe the weed was laced, which I highly doubt as I had smoked out of the bag before and people seem to feel that getting laced weed by accident is basically an urban legend, but from there on panic set it. I felt delirious, my heart was racing, my thought process was completely going in a million directions at once, I tried to sleep but couldn't, and wound by staring at the clock for several hours.

I made it through, but the problem was, it didn't end there. For days I felt completely washed out, nauseous, and dizzy. So after a few days of this I went to the doctor, who when I explained by symptoms, and she did a few routine tests, nothing like drawing blood or pee tests, she concluded I had a stomach virus, gave me a pill to help my nausea and told me to drink alot of Gatorade.

This experience was very bad. For a few months I didn't think I would ever smoke again, didn't think I would want to, but now that I have educated myself on it abit I want some opinions. Is it possible I was given a bag that was bad in some way, or do you all think it was an exetremely bad combo of highly stressed out, SATs were that morning remember, being with someone I didn't know well, and the possibly the onset of a stomach flu that combined into one of the most horrific nights of my life?

I feel as though this is the right place to ask, and if you read all that, bless you, because I really need some opinions. Thank you all very much.

Given all of the natural stress that you were experiencing, im sure that had a great deal to do with your "panic attack". When I want to be comfortable smoking, I surround myself with people I actually want to be with, and kick back and relax. You will enjoy your high much more if youre in a comfortable setting, with your buddies.

Well, It's not like I didn't want to be around the guy, it was more of just I would rather have had someone there to smoke with, and he was the only person around I could get to come over.

Next time I smoke I will prolly go hang out with some people I really like and trust, I am just worried about whether this is normal, especially given my circumstances, or should I just give up smoking all together.

Youre way too early in the game to quit for good, but if you feel thats whats right...

Try smoking by yourself a couple of times to get a feel for your high, and start adding firmiliar faces the more times you smoke.

Next time, only take one or two hits to see how you react. Smoking a whole joint's worth of high quality stuff can certainly bring on anxiety and panic attacks, especially if you're not used to that much. Just go easy and you'll enjoy it.

2 joints and a bowl is alot of weed for 2 people at one time, especially for a person that only smokes once in a while. Just smoke a small bowl for yourself and I almost guarantee you'll be feeling really good and probably want to do a little more.
