Did you read the substitution sticky or use the search feature? This question is asked all the time and the answer is always the same. Unless you give them reason, they can't observe your test. Reason would include a buldge, failure to produce a sample at the right temp, refusal to remove outerwear. No, they can't frisk you either but they can make you pat yourself down.

Right and wrong. Being a medical marijuana user doesn't allow you to fail your drug test for marijuana but if you take prescription pain meds and you test positive for them, a medical review officer (MRO) will verify the scripts and make sure the levels are not too high based on your scripts. Absence of a prescription in a urine sample is not cause to fail you either.
