    Cleaning Grinders/Kief Catchers

I have about 5 of those fancy smanchy kief catcher grinder cylinder things. NOW, moment of silence........................................... .....
they are empty except for the very light residues in them. I am desperate now and don't care how fruitless the effort, I would like to try to boil them out and collect the leftovers. How though, I have no idea. Any help on this one? Obviously anything that comes out will be like dust, but I think there may be enough to do something with. Should I just boil and use clarifyed butter to absorb the small remaining goodness? Any other options? Thanks in advance.

you can run iso through it, i just did this not too long ago on my 2 grinders, got a ball of iso hash. just tape the bottom and fill it with 99%isopropyl shake then dump onto a plate a dish, let it evaporate. i speed up the evaporation by putting the pyrex bowl in hot water

This is kinda what I was looking for, is it possible to use vodka or rum? I know that it is more expensive then iso but it's all I have and I don't ever drink. Is there a way to do it with hard liquor 80 proof? Anyone ever tried anything like that? Thanks again holmes, would regular liquor evaporate or would I need to put some heat to it?

Ok, a though just occured to me, since I have a gas stove, could I use a crock pot, fill it with vodka/bacardi, drop in my grinders, and cook it off. At some point taking the grinders out and leaving the goodness in the alcohol until there is nothing but good brain juice? Does that make any sense?

Go buy some Isopropyl alcohol. You might even have some in a cabinet with bandaids or something. It's like a dollar per bottle.
