Keeping the plants in an extended (uninterrupted of course) "night" period the final three days of flowering?

    Benefits? Consequences?

I wouldn't think it provides any benefit for the plant... or THC production.

    Those are my 0.02

Unneccessary. THC breaks down in bright light, but to such an extent that you wouldn't even notice the difference without running samples through a GC, lol!

It's a good idea at the BEGINNING of the flower cycle.
I always give my plants 48 hours of dark, to signal them to start growing buds growing leaves.

If the little green dot next to the member's username is lit up, he's there. If not, he's either invisible or offline. No reason to bump the thread.
That does not by itself sex the plants. It merely speeds up the transition from veg to flower, particularly if the plant has been given a dark period during its veg time.
I would also use that method to jump-start flower on a plant that I intend to put outdoors very late in the season (1 August) to guarantee that flowering is initiated immediately.

Except my computer is usually always logged in, but that doesn't necessarily mean I'm sitting in front of it.
