That'd be similar to saying that alcohol and tobacco is as dangerous as the harder drugs (which, in reality, it can be), and stating this just because of the tendencies one may have to become addicted. MMJ is far less dangerous than the other legal toxins available on the market today, far less physically addictive, and far less likely to make one develop life-threatening health problems.

A 12 year old who gets hooked on cigarettes or alcohol is just as likely to get hooked on crack later on. It isn't the addictive chemicals they're using at an early age that determines this, it's the predisposition to freely try these addictive chemicals in the first place.
I smoked cigarettes before Marijuana,I also drank alcohol before marijuana.....I think if their gonna ban "gateway drugs" cigarettes and alcohol should be up there too.
