I don't exactly hate x-mas, but there are certain things I don't like about it.

For one, the ideas behind buying the most expensive gifts out there, and if you don't get the greedy, fat bastards what they want, they are sad, or get mad at you. I hate the commercials on TV giving people the impression that if you don't spend a fortune on gifts and don't get what they want, you're a peice of shit.

In my family, x-mas has been about that one day of the year you see people you don't see all year. We have relatives who come from Holland every year and it's a huge get together with drinking and us tokers smoking, or eating cannabis edibles.

We get one gift for each other not over $50. That's always been a thing for us.

It's not about gifts or jesus for us, it's about family and having fun that one day of the year.

haha............I hate christmas, everyone gets that phoney jolly shit grin on their face and after a while I wana punch everything with it. But some of the best shows and movies come around this time. I love family, I love food, I love lights, even love some of the songs, but presents and the traffic of life is insane. I dont even go out that much, around this time. But their snow lots of boose and lots of trouble so it never a dull moment.

I hate the greed behind XMAS and all the friggin advertizements.
XMAS sucks ass and from August until after XMAS every year we have XMAS shoved down our throats mercilessly.
I hate religion and luckily XMAS has lost it's religious context years ago. It is all about money and how much can be spent uselessly.

If another person says "awww but it's xmas" in order to try and get me to do something I will punch them.

I am not a Christian and I think that is all the reason I need for not celebrating the birth of Christ.

So much shit in life sucks right now, but Christmas has been my savior. What's not to like about it, I see happy people/families everywhere. I've seen a lot of friends and family, so it's been good.

I like the getting the whole family together part and the presents of course even if they suck because most of my clan think about what to get and even if they miss the mark a little it's the thought that counts right?. stuffing your face full of food and drinking like it's going out of fashion is also a big plus except i can only drink at the last gathering of the two or more i have to go to. But......

the commercialism and the two month build up are complete bullshit. Even worse is actually doing the gift shopping ,which i always end up doing at the last minute just like the rest of the state which it seems have to decided to go to the same shopping centre as me at the same time. It's times like that that make me wish high powered firearms were legal in this country, or i owned a turban and a fake bomb vest so i could clear the place out a little while i did my shopping......and im not even a cristian.

    Dammn youuuu jesus!!!!

    Who hates the X-mas?!

OK, I found a new thing to add to my "Things I Hate About It" list this morning. Christmas cheer candy-asses (masking the fact that they're religious proselytizers).

I was in the over-crowded grocery store picking up last-minute items an hour ago. I was looking at my list, dreading the already long checkout lines, thinking about everything I had to accomplish today and tomorrow, and feeling a moment of keen grief about the fact that my sister who died of cancer late last year wouldn't be here with us.

So a lady walks by in the opposite direction, a woman in her late 20s or early 30s wearing too much jewelry, including a big diamond cross, and a gaudy, tacky Christmas sweater. She must have noticed my sober expression.

"Smile and be happy!" she said. "It's the Christmas season, a time to be joyful and celebrate Christ's birth. You know, 'Joy to the World. The Lord is born.'!"

I must have had a stunned expression on my face. I really HATE it when people tell me how to feel, and I hate it even more when they combine that with overtones of religious proselytizing. I stared at her for a long moment, thinking she must be the most overbearing idiot that ever walked the aisles of Kroger. She began to get a sort of less-than-cheery expression on her face before I finished staring at her.

Then I said, "Well, if it's OK with you, I was just thinking about the sister I lost to cancer some months ago. I'll choose to continue feeling the way I'm feeling instead of putting on a cheerful act. That's a lot better for my mental health, and it'll be a lot better for your health, I suspect, if you cease to tell perfect strangers in grocery stores how they ought to be feeling, especially when you have no idea about what they might be going through."

I left her with her mouth gaping wide open. I'm sure she's at home now, praying for my salvation. And smiling a candy-ass smile. Bah humbug.
