    @Making A Screen!@

I have a big rubbermaid grow that im constructing for recently rooted, flowering clones but ill need a screen inside it so they dont get to tall. How can I make myself a good 15''x 30'' Screen to fit inside my rubbermaid tub. I'll be using the original lid with 2 ft flouro tubes mounted to it and not another tub on top unlike Bodom's. HELP!

I gots a rubbermaid grow going and I would suspect you could just drill holes in the tub on opposite sides, thread a string through the holes, and use a regular screw and maybe a washer, screwed into the hole with the string to keep it tight, or better yet just make a knot or 2 on the string after it's through the holes to keep it tight. Do it a few times and theres your screen.

But in all honesty, I would think you'd be better off using some heavy LST, especially since you aren't using a second tub for added space. Hmmmm, if your just using a lid, that space is quite small isn't it? If you were gonna use the lid, I would think you'd be better off with something like a tall trash can rather than a storage tub. I don't use a bottom at all for my grow.

    Hope this helps.

    Chicken wire (2")
    Cable ties
    Drill bit
    Electrical tape
    Sharpie

Using the sharpie, make a line around the exterior of the rubbermaid at the same height all the way around where you want your screen to be positioned inside the box.

Using a drill bit only slightly larger than the thickness of the cable ties, drill holes around the entire box at the height of the line.

Turn your box upside down and lay it on the chicken wire.

Again, using the sharpie, trace the shape of the box onto the chicken wire.

Cut out slightly smaller than your tracing. (Alternatively you could make a teplate out of cardboard first then trace it onto the chcken wire)

Take the cable ties and string them into the holes from outside to in.

Insert your cut chicken wire into the box and secure with the cable tie.

Follow all the way around the box using the cable ties to secure the screen in it's position.

Using the electrical tape, cover all the holes around the outside to create a light proof box.

You should now have a screen that is inside the box, suspended by cable ties with the holes blacked out with electrical tape.

Alternatively, using coathangers to LST would be a lot better for such a small space. A combination of topping and LST would do you wonders. Do a search, have a read, and good luck whatever you decide.
