DIY Pipe

Hey guys. I decided to make a pipe today because I don't want to smoke out of aluminum bowls anymore and bongs are too messy with the water. I used a piece out of a shower head for the bowl (I think it's made out of steel, but defiantly not aluminum), an opened 35mm photo film cartridge for the body (not the black plastic containers they come in but the metal container the film is in, that you put into your camera) and some of that black piping you would put around wires you want to cover up inside a computer or car. Everything is taped down with black electric tape and the white stuff is this stretchable nylon ... something... I got from a chemistry lab (they use it to wrap around containers to keep it sealed down). The hose can be bent so you can hold it correctly upright. I was just wondering what you guys think? I've never built a pipe before.

why don't you just go buy a $10 minipipe or something made of glass?

it doesn't look like something I'd wanna smoke out of but I guess if it works and you're happy with it then cool.

Plastic on a pipe = bad idea. Esp the black electrical tape.... what is the long thing? I piece of wire wrap? I will say that the calcium screen is baller of an idea.

Go spend the $15-$20 for a single blown piece... you won't regret it... I still have my first piece, but ive got like 5 others now too...

Pretty simple plan, huh mang? I mean, I now have my fav piece that cost me over $160, but it was for a special occasion and all... now I use it 24/7.

Using all that plastic to get away from using aluminium??? Your on the right track though, but my friend, you went many steps backwards on that one. Plastics when heated have a nasty habit of off-gassing some really bad stuff thats 100 times worse than aluminium.

for less than $10 in parts, you can build a killer waterpipe with brass and glass that will rock your world.

Those things aren't meant to be used for smoking.. Pipes.. Bowls you buy.....they're sold as "smoking accessories" for a reason... they're treated for smoking purposes.

It's not a good idea if you ask me.
