Mycorrhizae fungi...
Just curious...I use mycorrhizae fungi and re-use the 'middle' layer of flowered plants. Sometimes I harvest plants that finish early, so don't need to water that pot any more.
In not watering the soil, how long will the fungi survive?
If soil is dry, then re-used (and watered) do the fungi start growing again?
Guess what I'm getting at is do I have to add the fungi every time I transplant to my flowering pots which contain about 50% used, flushed soil?Rusty Trichome Reviewed by Rusty Trichome on . They, or at least their spores, should still be present when the soil is re-wetted. However it's not a bad idea to give a fresh shot of inoculant anyway.

I put it in my potting soil mix, so it's always there and fresh.

Just make sure you get 'solubile' and not 'granular'. Granular can cause clogs, and doesn't uptake as well..
