I was a competitive Thai boxer which my girl of the time had problems with , there were many reasons for keeping close ones out of the action of my life and I suppose to some they would seem selfish but I don't see it that way.
My choices were selfish in as much as I knew how difficult it was for my loved ones to accept that any sane person would put themselves into the insane situations that I did , and yet I still made the choice to do it.
I have to live with my choices as everyone does however I can say I have no regrets , how many people can say the same ?

thats all well and good but it depends on how someone seperates away from another person, if someone you think is a friend disappears after texting and asking to sleep on your sofa, you hear nothing from them they don't call, text or explain, that causes upset cofusion and shows absolutely no respect. that is most deffinately selfish, but if someone explains things and doesn't confuse things by leaving loose ends, then no i wouldn't say its selfish.
