200 watt CFL - Anyone use these?
Never used one...hope it works for you. But a caution; CFLs, unlike HPS and MH, don't gain in efficiency as you get larger bulbs. That bulb is listed as a 12,000 lumen bulbā??the 23 watt Wal-Mart 4 packs are 1650 lumens each. 8 of them will produce 10% more light (13,200 luemns) using 8% less energy (184 watts). I also bet they're a lot cheaper...2 four packs from Wally's will set you back less than $15.
It's a lot nicer to have all your light from a single source, and you get ease of installation of fewer cords...but big bulb = more heat issues too, since there's less bulb surface area for heat dissipation. Just a couple of thoughts.
