avatars and image files/sizes

i was trying to upload a picture from my computer. i put in the file name....and it said 'not a valid image file'?

im not sure whats going on...ill try to tinker around with it some more

If I'm correctly interpreting what our board owner told us on the mod forum a bit ago, image-uploading is not currently functional because of work that's being done on our system. Sounds like that function will be available again at some time in the future.

Uploading should still work for avatars. only the gallery image uploading is off

What type of file are you trying to load as an avatar, Trainwreck? A GIF should work fine. Make sure it meets the size requirements.

bitmap image, 900kb.

i tried to resize it but i am having a little bit of trouble doing so...i think the smallest it will go is 125X160, but then it just turns black...i will mess with it some more and call a friend.

Avatars must be in a GIF format..........
