I feel your pain guys fags always crank that song at my highschool in the halls and everyone yells "Turn that shit off!!". It seems mainstream lacks the ability to create more than 2 sentences of lyrics.

yeah i dunno about soulja boy, i mean hes only 16 so you gotta give him props and as a producer hes good but man does he ever have to work on those lyrics and maybe grow up a bit, his hit single "crank dat" is alright when your highly intoxicated. everyone has their own opinion and taste for music and i respect that but as far as im concerned he is just "ja boy", because there is no soul in those tunes haha

I have a new 9 yearold cousin (she was just adopted) and she got a nano for christmas. To be awesome, i got her a ton of songs for it, but she was super upset i wouldn't get her souljaboy. I'm not really concerned about her knowing what it means, i wasnt even really upset that it says "ho" a million times, because if you're nine you just think its something like "la" or "oh". But then it goes:

I'm Jocking On Yo Bitch Ass
And If We Get The Fightin
Then I'm Cocking On Your Bitch

ugh, i hope this is a passing fad. Seriously, how do people like this get record deals.

Maintream is the keyword here and is why I think the music industry has gone to complete shit. Quality does not matter any more, if it has a catchy beat and says bitch and hoe a thousand times it can sell. This is why you wont find a CD in my car or an mp3 on my computer that is from year 2000 or newer in the hip hop/rap categorie.

Stick with Led zeppelin, Pink Floyd, AC/DC lol the good old days (yea i know im only 20 so what i like music that is somewhat composed not thrown together and called music). I am not just downing on mainstream rap, rock has also become a thing of the past, there is no more screaming guitar solos, 45 second guitar loops with vocals hitting the same notes as the guitar with perfection, you just dont get real music any more.
