food dehydrator = too hot! ideas?
Esaron, I am trying one too, it is easy to defeat the heating coil, just take it apart and cut the wire where it goes into the heating coil, just be careful and dont do it when it is plugged in!!! The one I have has two different coils, so I just cut the larger one, so it still makes a bit of heat, but just one day so far and my first ever crop, so I dont know how it is going to work....you could take it to a handyman or repair shop and have them do it I guess....
Arbogastarbogast Reviewed by arbogast on . food dehydrator = too hot! ideas? so i thought i would buy a food dehydrator to dry my crop, but after scrutinizing the box and doing a lil research, the dehydrator gets far too hot to dry pot effectively. I was wondering if there are any electricians or people with experience modifying appliance who could help me figure out if there's a way to get the temp lower, so it would be a more viable option. I got a Ronco 5 tray food dehydrator, and as far as i can tell it gets around 100F in the drying process. I was thinking Rating: 5
