That could be it and get a mediocre or maybe even good job, or you could follow Zander's advice which was posted above and get a more thourough and flushed job with better tasting buds

Is the opportunity cost worth it? Using more product you have to buy, taking more of your time, you get a slight to heavy increase in the smoothness / taste of your bud.

Do you care what your bud tastes like? That is a valid question unfortunately

Clearex or Florakleen will help remove the extra chemicals FASTER.....i just plain love that word.....faster.....quicker.....sooner....all variations of heaven to my ears.

At four days in I doubt you will speed the process up really at this point. I was taught to flush by the same instructions as Zandor's post.....watching the amount of ppms daily and you'll see them rise quickly as the flushing agent does its work then you change the water daily to keep a record of what's coming out. After a few days (depending on the dose you use) you will no longer see the ppms rising and the flush has done its job. Then I switch to plain RO water for up to two week until finish.

I especially suggested it for cm because I think he's honestly just a few days away from harvest and this will indeed be a lot quicker. I don't have any quarrel with folks using plain water for a week or so to accomplish the same thing and yes, I think it will work just fine. I remember Rhizome telling me he would do water changes during flushing (plain water I believe) to keep his ppms under 300. I would have to agree that that would be alot less work than keeping track of your numbers and making changes every day......the trade off being the amount of time involved.

The other time I strongly urge using flushing agents is several times during your grow for a 24 hour period to help clean out excess fert salts built up in the system and the medium etc. That practice has made a BIG difference in my grows.

Alright everyone, another update this morning

It is the 57th day of flower and I have been flushing with 30ml per gallon clearex flushing agent for 15 hours and the ppms have raised from 180 to...220. I thought it go higher than that, but I guess we will see in the next couple of days how the girls respond.

I am planning to harvest after this flushing, as I have lookied at the chromes and almost all are cloudy and there are a few amber. This was on the pure sativa strain, so I'm sure the hybrid is further ahead. I will check those chromes tomorrow.

I am putting a popcorn bud into my toaster oven at 250 for 25 minutes before looking at the chromes daily. I will continue this pattern for research study and conclusion in the future....

Ok, call me a stoner but as I was wandering through the aisles at the local Target I spotted this...contraption...and I was immediatly sold on it. The price was marked down to $19.98 from MSRP of $84.99 because the box was damaged (there was a cut in the cardboard box).

It is called the Hamilton Beach Quick Dry. It is a set of four trays that are cooled by a built in fan. You put your clothes on it and it dries them with a "cool breeze" from this unit.

Ok, so I was really high when I bought this. I will find out if it works and I will keep you guys informed of course

CM, good luck with the experiment. I would recommend a food dehydrator since they have a temperature control feature, but for 20 bucks - WTF it is worth a try...

Why, why, why? Round n round she goes, how she flushes, nobody knows.

    3.0% damn Glucose
    1.5% darn Sucrose
    95.5% friggen watercrose

(Please note that the more powerful "damn" is displayed in conjunction with the more powerful "Glucose".)

So the plants eat this instead bat poop, and we taste the sugar instead of crap, like a cavity in... uh... the mouth of somebody... who, mmm, eats a lot of sugary things. Brilliant opie, well played.

Why are we not dumping a little unrefined or brown sugar, or even some honey in with our tap or RO flushing water, instead of spending 20 or $30 on a gallon of sugar water? Damn it, I am getting tired of asking for a good recipe. You people must obey my every whim even if you don't know how to do so. Sorry. I mean, I'm tired and I need to go to bed. That doesn't stop me from wanting a recipe for a flushing agent.

Well, I guess I'll just go get some Glucose and Sucrose somewhere? Don't see why not. Anyone want to try and stop me? Please? Well maybe I should at least use up my Clearex first.

Opie- don't forget a little bit of surfactant, and a touch of sodium.
