4 Weeks into Flowering, No smell... Strange?
Hi guys.
This is not my first grow, just my first successful female. She is about 4 weeks into Flowering. The Trychomes are making it look frosty and seem to be forming nicely. Everything is going very well, but oddly, there is no stench from the plant. Is that strange for being this far into flowering? The Strain is Early Perl/Northern Lights. I am growing under CFL's using 1 oz. Botanicare Pro Flowering and a Capful of SuperThrive per gallon. My Ph is around 6.5. Everything else looks healthy from what I can see. Whats your opinoins? I'll post some pics when I get a chance.ombudsman Reviewed by ombudsman on . 4 Weeks into Flowering, No smell... Strange? Hi guys. This is not my first grow, just my first successful female. 4 Weeks into Flowering, No smell... Strange?
Not necessarily strange. I would have to say that most of the time, the smell is linked to the genetics of the plant. It may develop smell later on in flowering, but that is unlikely. It's also possible that after some curing you might get some smell, but only time will tell.
On a side note, is their any particular reason that you use superthrive in flowering? Most people I've run into stop because it is primarily a rooting additive and contains a high percentage of nitrogen. I wanted to know if you just never stopped using it, or if you know something that maybe I don't

4 Weeks into Flowering, No smell... Strange?
it is un-natural for a plant to NOT have any smell.matter of fact this is only the 2nd thread i found that has to do with this topic besides the one i started a few days ago.
most of the issues with smell deal with there being to much smell.
the overpowering odor is normally the problem so if you got no odor its not normal at all unless you are using something to reduce the smell.i know someone who has had the same issue and its not the strain because hes had the same issue with many strains.

4 Weeks into Flowering, No smell... Strange?
Thanks for the tips guys. I will just keep doin' what I'm doin' and see how things turn out. As for the superthrive, I guess I just didn't stop using it. It doesn't seem to be doing any harm and my plant is healthier than any of the other males that I have dealt with. There is absolutely no leaf burn and I have no dead leaves or yellow leaves at all. The males that I had from this strain though were really stinky. That is what made me a little worried. Its not that there is absolutely no smell, its just that the smell is very faint. I have to have a bud practically inside my nostril to get any type of odor. I'll update this thread as I get further into flowering to let everyone know if things change.
One more quick question. Being 4 weeks into flowering, I am certain that my plant has become root bound. Should I just let it go or repot it? I know I should have done it before I even put her into full flower, but I missed that chance and then got worried I might do more harm than good by repotting so late. Right now she is in a 10" pot. She is LST'ed the whole way around the pot and still about 16+" Tall. Thanks again!

No they don't, they're fabulous- the flowers can be egg-battered and fried.
Dandelion head fritters PWN. MMMMMMMMMM!!!!!!!!!!
If it doesn't run away, I WILL find a way to deep fry it....And dandelions have no legs. And my lawn is covered...
