Testing for PCC - how common is it?
So I'm looking through various methods on how to beat a drug test. Fortunately I'm not up for one any time soon, but at least in theory the company I work for does random tests. Of course, random can be a rather relative term - I've been here 8 years and I've yet to even hear of anyone getting tested lol. But it's always good to be prepared.
While surfing the web I found a product called Urine Luck. At first glance it looks like a great product. You can keep it stashed in your glove box or desk drawer so it's readily available. And you're using your own, real urine, so you don't have to worry about temperatures, or all the problems you find with dilution.
I Googled UL and found a study (Adulteration of Urine by "Urine Luck" -- Wu et al. 45 (7): 1051 -- Clinical Chemistry) that shows that the active ingredient (pyridinium chlorochromate or PCC) is very effective at removing THC (and opiates) from urine samples. However, the study also notes that the PCC is fairly easy to detect, assuming one takes the time to look for it.
So the question is, how often are the testing labs actually checking for it? Anyone know?Help_Needed Reviewed by Help_Needed on . Testing for PCC - how common is it? Well, I answered my own question with a little more Google work. And for those who are curious, it appears that PCC is well known in the drug testing industry and every single adulteration test strip will check for it. So it's NOT going to be a good solution.
