Requests for Campaign Contributions
Are posts allowed to give links to presidential campaign donation websites? If they are, then would it be correct to assume that all of the candidates' campaigns merit equal time on this site?

Good point and one of your better ones. I could go either way on that (I see it as a possible violation of another rule) and really Psycho4Bud or Sundance would probably handle this one the best but until they see it I'm going to move that thread from the lounge to politics and soon close this thread and make sure they see it.
This thread is kind of along the same lines too.

More important question, does anybody really care except the haters? There are thousands of threads on this forum, if someone is getting ticked off by seeing people getting excited about a certain politician is their problem and they should deal with it on their own. If this forum allows discussion of politics, then it would be hypocritical to attempt to censor discussion of political support in the form of donations.
As far as equal time, why does the site staff need to get involved on this? Equal time isn't even represented in the press, so why should it be forced? You can't force people to read about candidates they aren't interested in, why even try? If Hillary Clinton supporters want to start their own thread I have no problem with it, in fact I dare them to, I could use the laugh :P

If Sundance has other feelings regarding this issue I'm sure we'll find out very soon.
Have a good one!
