Just put a baggie in your pocket and grab a couple of handfuls from anywhere that hasn't been poisoned. A flower bed, planter, even a vacant lot! Or check the Dollar store or Walmart, You can get enough potting soil for a few bucks- it won't be the best, though.

The main thing is to get that baby into some kind of dirt ASAP! Have the dirt as wet as possible and in a small 8 to 12 oz plastic cup with a hole in the bottom. Save out a little dirt on the side.

Now take a pencil, or other pointy object, and make a wide, deep cone-shaped hole in the dirt. Lower the roots in the hole and gently cover the roots with the dirt you saved out. Water to settle the soil.

Now, likely the soil you got is shitty and will only grow a half-assed plant. Don't hassle it! You will be transplanting fairly soon- just make sure the soil you use then is A-one! The roots will hit the "good stuff" and take off.
