Why do they say CLONE ONLY????
That doesn't make any sense to me! Because didn't the strain orginate from a bag of seeds.:wtf: didn't the orginal grower grow the strain/plant from seed??

Why do they say CLONE ONLY????
Thats like what came first the chicken or the egg.. A religous issue we might not want to dive into...
Anyhow ill say this.. Obv the plant came from seed. Like the Diesel is from Bagseed and there were only a couple beans and they were killer plants that the origin was unknown therefore in theory can not be replicated in exact form. However if you did enough diggin and got back to the person what grew the pot ( this would be very hard ) you could in theory find the parent and if the parents are not dead could attempt to replicate the strain.. Make Sense.. ??

Why do they say CLONE ONLY????
Clones guarantee sex and genetic strengths , seeds don't.
That simple really.

Why do they say CLONE ONLY????
No way to keep the same genetics while producing seeds. It would have to be pollinated by a male of the same type (or even another). If you let it self-pollinate, the resulting seeds are still not identical to the producer and have a higher chance for genetic flaws in the offspring.

Why do they say CLONE ONLY????
So pretty much 1 out of the 10 seeds was extremely different from the rest,More like a 1 in 100,000 type of strain/pheno???I don't even know if I'm making any sense but, it just a guess? lol!!

Why do they say CLONE ONLY????
lets take for example Granddaddy purple. a clone only strain. (not real story of GDP, purely hypothetical)
lets say somebody bought a bag of weed that had seeds in it and grew out the seeds. of those seeds there was a great plant that somebody cloned and wanted to continue growing it because its a great plant that showed traits that he/she wanted.
now if that person wanted seeds they would have to cross it with a male and the seeds would be traits of both male and female plants. DIFFERENT from the clone. could be better or worse than the clone.
that is why there are clone only strains.....to preserve sought after plants

Why do they say CLONE ONLY????
When a strain is clone-only that means that it is not reproducible, often because the lineage is unknown, and has not yet been stabilized through a disciplined number of back-crosses.

Why do they say CLONE ONLY????
clone only generally relates to strains that have somehow died out in seed form or never existed ie: original cheese, there are only mother plants that exist ( ithink it was a one off that was cloned) and no male plants to pollinate with so it would have to be crossed to get seeds so would not be the same strain so it becomes a clone only strain,
or you get strains that are crossed or are jus phenos usually purple strains like purple urkle where seeds were never made as it isnt possible as only a female purple urkle exists so it again has to be crossed with another strain to produce seed this strain was called querkle
there are loadsa reasons why a plant could be clone only and it generally depends upon how the strain came to exist in the first place
