Negative Rep
Just a quick question to the Mod's regarding Rep.
I noticed today that a departing member (and his alias) decided to 'hand out' a generous portion of negative rep to some of the threads (and posters) on the site.
Sadly, I was one of them. Though it beats me as to why, as I'd never spoken to the guy before (nor him to me).
Just one of those things I guess.
However, I notice that the negative rep is no longer showing on my user CP but the points have still been deducted.
I thought I'd ask but I think I'm pretty sure I know the answer already.
Like the Bruce Springsteen song goes . . those points 'are going boys, and they ain't coming back'!
Sighs. . . I'm tired of seeing 'flameon is just really nice', how many points do I need for it to say 'flameon is one sexy stud muffin'?Flameon Reviewed by Flameon on . Are you quite sure the points were still deducted? What normally happens, and what I think happened in the case you're speaking of, is that that thread on which you were given negative rep was deleted, which deletes the rep comments and tally deductions, too. I don't keep a close enough eye on my own points to know where they stand, but when threads are deleted, that normally negates the impact of the negative rep.

Negative Rep
It's really LAME. I admit that I occasionally participate in it when I'm bored. I'm convinced that if you had a few level-headed old-fashioned hardcore weedheads at a smoking session, and the topic of reputation on a message board came up, there would be a unanimous thumbs down. But of course, those types are not exactly welcome here anymore, lol.
