gonna need some size reference to be able to determine how big the bag is, etc. but if all the buds are about the size as the one shown in your hand, then it looks to be about right.

Unless thats very compact bud, that bag should be full. If it's compact then thats about right. If your happy with it, then it's not a rip off.
Maybe you should get some scales - then you'll know the exact amount.

It could be an 1/8. The thing is, it's hard to tell because of the range of water weight bud can hold. If that is an 1/8, then I would say that bud is not properly dried and cured. If you don't understand the importance of water weight, allow me to illustrate. MY bro picked up a solid O, and weighed the next day; it was suddenly a full gram shorter. That's $14.28 that just disappeared into thin air. A lot of times a distributer will move buds that haven't been properly dried and cured because they weigh more, even a LOT more, to make more money, and everyone down the chain loses because of the schmuck tryin' to make an extra buck. At best you can refuse to buy wet bud, or ask for a little extra to compensate, but gooood luck. The best quick method to determine if a bud's dry enough is to break the stem. If it doesn't break easily and snap, it's good to go. In the end it's up to you and whether or not you want the bud.

Bud loses about 80 - 85% of weight when dried and cured properly.

Bud doesn't look bad, but I wouldn't pay $50 for it though.

How big is that bag about? Like 2 inches x 2 inches or so...? ? ?
It's hard to say without a size ref. That bag could be any size. I have ones about 1.5x1.5 inches square, and they barely fit a gram, so hopefully yours is much bigger than that.
An 1/8 is 3.5grams.Get a scale to know for sure.

That doesn't look anywhere close to an 8th.
