Not in a week. But if it was wet then a week would be plenty of time for mold to grow. It usually has a distinct musty type smell.

Heat, moisture and light are the enemies of THC. So if you plan on keeping it for several months, put it in a well sealed glass jar in your freezer. If you are planning on keeping it for a month or so, don't hassle it. Room temperature is OK. Just keep it out of the light, in a drawer or something- it's smart to do that anyway, for security reasons.
Moldy weed smells musty and nasty like a closet that has mildew, sometimes there are ammonia-like tones. If your weed is moldy, DO NOT SMOKE IT! Trust me on this one, kid. You do NOT want to smoke moldy weed! No matter how much it cost, it isn't worth it! Do a search on it.- Granny:hippy:

i would have to agree with it decreasing, but it will still get u high.... lots of little buds fall under my seat in my car, and go under the carpet. In desperate times i'll lift up the carpet and search for buds, which never fails me... some seem dry beyond belief and some are kinda moist, but I've never seen mold on any of them...

THC degrades VERY VERY VERY SLOWLY, if sealed properly. If dry, sealed up in an airtight container and kept out of light, it'll last for years and years just at room temps.
After a week, NOTHING would have happened. Infact, the potency may have even increased [search curing]
Just make sure that if you seal it up, it's not wet OR damp at all. Because if it is, it'll mold - and if you smoke it you will be one VERY ill person - if it doesnt end up killing you.

Haha, smokin' moldy weed...I once found a half pack of smokes that had to be a couple months old. As I was jonesin' for a smoke, I lit one up. Week later, upper respiratory infection, but lesson learned.
