I think if a cop wants to do whatever he wants (thats legal) on his off-time i think he should have the right to that. The REASON we have jobs is to get money, and when your done getting your money, u should be able to enjoy it however you want. The whole argument about a officers downtime (of the clock) has to reflect his job. I think if a cop wants to be in the middle of the street singing, at a reasonable hour, we should let them.

Amsterdam cops are not allowed to smoke pot anymore From the 1st of January 2008 police officers in Amsterdam are no longer allowed to use cannabis in their own spare time. This is specified in the new behaviour directive sent by the Amsterdam precinct to all the officers. Until now it was clear to all the officers that they could not show up at work under the influence of cannabis and/or alcohol (of course). But according to the head of the precinct the officers must be an example to others, and besides that they are officers 24 hours a day. Rating: 5
