DurbanStone Reviewed by DurbanStone on . airstone and chlorine question hey i just gotta quick question. how long does it take chlorine to evaporate out of water. every where i read is its 24 hours. yesterday i put out a 5gal bucket of water to evap the chlorine and today i went and got an airstone and pump and added it in my bucket. well now its been about 24 hours and had the pump running and i can smell heavy chlorine. oh and also on my airstone package it said to soak the stone in water for 1hr before use and i skipped that and just rinsed em off. would Rating: 5
