    more keg help needed

As i said in another related thread i have a keg and no tap. I have an idea on how to open it and want to run it by you guys. It is about 1/3 to 1/2 full. If i had it sit straight up and press a pvc pipe against the bearing and pressed it down letting the air pressure out(Are kegs pressurized because i have no idea), then the bearing can be lifted and lower easily then just tip it to pour. Would that work at all, or do you have any better ideas.

Drive a screwdriver through the top using a hammer. Tip for beer.

Or just get a tap... which really isn't that hard.

honostly u should get a tap homie. A tap puts air pressure in the keg, causing the beer to come out. Its likely that since its half full someone has already used a tap on it and there is still pressure in it. get the tap, 20 bucks bro.

Purchase sledge hammer, hold slegemammer directly over ball barrel , keep ur eyes focused on the head of the hammer, step two feet back, then hit the barrell as hard as u can and be prepared to run like fuck , that is if u are alive .

In all honesty, be careful. I've seen a half empty barrel put its bearing through the ceiling because someone tried to pop it without a tap, the pressure inside a keg can get pretty high, although if it was bled before they removed the tap you might be ok.

Get a tap, without one, the beer will get shitty fast. And it's always good to have a tap on hand.
