Flushing?
Just curious what some of your flushing regimens are like. I just switched my res to straight water and 150 mL of FloraKleen. Can I run it with the Florakleen up to harvest or should I change it a few days before I harvest?

How close are you to harvesting? I think I read somewhere that you should flush your plants a week before harvest. I have never heard of leaving them in the flush/water solution for extended periods for any other reason.

I'm at 51 days; Friday will be 8 full weeks so they have been flushing for 5 days now, three days with FloraKleen. I just got a 60x magnifier today and checked out the trichromes and they are all milky looking and one of them has probably 5% amber trichs. Can't wait to harvest!
Also, by regimen, I just mean if you use a cleaning agent, water, and when/how long for each.

you don't really need anything other than ph'd water to flush. it's just more shit companies throw out there to make money. it's like that stuff (and others) that advanced makes to clean your room/equipment. total waste of money....

Floraclean will speed up your flushing process quite a bit...it can be very worth it.

Flushing agents are $20 per gallon sugar water. Read the ingredients. I too buy into the idea, but I'm sure you can make some easily. Anyone got a recipe?

I use a very dilute solution of Soil Syrup- source of humic acids, and a natural pH buffer @6.8-6.9- when I feel that my soil plants are due for a flush.

Thanks stinky, but you know me, hydro and all. My soil plants are mothers, or mothers to be.
Does anyone know the proportions of sugar to water in the Flouraclean? Or actually what I'm asking is, does anyone make the $20 per gallon sugar water, and if so how? And what about honey, powdered sugar, or other sweet ingredients?

DJ - Congratulations on your impending harvest! It seems like you started this grow only a couple of weeks ago.
If you can, post some pics of the plants before you chop them.

I'd also like to see a legitimate 'recipe' for a good final-flush ... I'm thinking about just using a dollop of molasses, in pH'd RO water for the final week, see what happens ...
