crossing strains?

how do you cross strains with other plants? ive searched the forums a bit and couldnt find it. can anyone point me out to it? is it just taking a female with a different male strain and pollinating it?

When you get more serious about breeding, read the Cannabis Breeders Bible by Greg Green. It's the BEST pot-growing book I've seen. It could be used as a textbook in a genetics or botany class, lol.
