Can you use hydroguard/hygrozyme in tap water or does it have to be R/O? The chlorine will kill the benny bacs in hydroguard but what about hygrozyme enzymes?

The tap water comes out at <50ppm around here so I never bothered with a R/0 system.

Or should I just stick with h2o2?
bud luv Reviewed by bud luv on . Mold in reservoir??? So I JUST started using molasses in my hydro setup a week ago, and I lifted up my res top to find, to my horror, a layer of mold floating on top of the water. Come to think of it, it's not that fuckin surprising to think that this could happen to a 70 gallon cup of sugar water sitting at room temperature. How the hell do people avoid this with carb sources in hydro res's? I didn't use H202, which I guess was dumb... right now I'm draining the res as much as I can (It's impossible to get Rating: 5
