hi everyone i just got put together an placed a 1000wt hps light with ballast in my booth. problem is i dont have hangers to hang up the hps above my plants by the way i have two sensi skunks in flowering both sexy ladys. for the moment i have the hps on its side facing toward the plants is that good enuff hoping by the time chrismas comes i can start to cure an smoke for new yrs. pics to come later on tonight hopefully. thank you for any advice.

Not much info to go on....best thing is to rotate the plants, often as possible. Need to keep temp between light bulb and plants around 70-85 degrees. Not sure what you mean by "booth"..but you need a fan or some kind of ventilation. A 1000HPS is a hot light.

i use a 600w for four large plants and have extractors and fans going on a timer. fresh air is your friend!! without it you'll have shit crops and be more likely to get mold. when the plants get to a point i feel they need more light due to size, which is quite rare, even with big plants, i just hang two 200watt red envirolites into the plants. same wattage, just a lot less heat.
