Hell yea, ever since Microsoft bought up the rights to these games they took a dive, and then Microsoft said they wouldn't make a Crimson Skies 2 game, that game was f-in awesome!!

I'm so glad Fasa got them back, this is a very talented game developer, now I just wish something like this would happen to revive Quantum Redshift from the grave. Quantum Redshift came out right before Xbox Live was launched, and this game would make such an awesome online racing/shooting game! :sadcrying

Jordan Weisman, the founder of FASA and WizKids, has announced through its new company Smith & Tinker that he has licensed back from Microsoft the rights for MechWarrior, Shadowrun and Crimson Skies.

Smith & Tinker is pleased to announce that it has licensed from Microsoft the electronic entertainment rights for Mr. Weisman's previous creations of MechWarrior, Shadowrun, Crimson Skies and the other properties of the FASA catalog. Weâ??re not quite ready to announce our plans for each property, but please be assured that our goal is to surprise and delight old fans, while welcoming new fans to these fantastic worlds.

In September, Fasa Interactive manager Mitch Gitelman announced in the Shadowrun forums that the studio closed its doors, leading to believe that we wouldn't see another Crimson Skies or MechWarrior game for a long time. With today's announcement, there's a new hope.
