    AeroPonics And Noob Question

Hello all I have came across your wonderful site and and am in dying need of an answer. To start off im an amature grower only 19 days into my wounderful babys life. I have been keeping very close tabs to her process.. 2 days ago I had seen a very little brown patch on the tips of the first inital two leaves that sprouted. After reading a few things i was informed that this could be caused from under nurshment. I am currently using a Aero Garden that has been used by close friends and family. I added nutrient tablets before the scheduled day due to the SLIGHT browing in the two leaves hoping that would solve the problem.. 24 hrs later the plant has seemed to wilt as if it looked weak possibly adding to the problem. Now again this is my first time so i dont know the chacteristics of a new born plant. i am providing pics and ill let you be the judge of it.

Thank you all for your help.

    AeroPonics And Noob Question

FIRST OF ALL: i have never used aeroponics, and do not properly understand its mechanisms.

in soil though, nutrients are reserved until the plant is of suitable age and hieght. this may not be so in aeroponics, but i would still suggest using the most minimal nutrient concentrations until it becomes bigger and stronger.

second, i do not see any apparant burns or wilt? the plant appears to be thriving in its conditions.

what lighting is it in? and what strain is it?

Strain is unknown. That was going to be another question of mine is how you identify a certain strain.

Lighting: The AeroGarden uses full-spectrum compact
fluorescent bulbs exclusively designed for the
optimal amount and type of light needed for robust,
healthy plant growth. Thats all it says about the lighting!

ok so in your opinion this plant in the second photo DOES NOT look healthy is that correct?

Thats actually a good quesiton.. i took some water from the ponics system and sprayed the leaves with it thinking it would help out a little bit.. But then after it dried it left a white residue on the leaves.. Im thinking now that prob was such a great idea! I sprayed thismorning BTW for the first time.

OK OK i think i know what it was.. I just had my 8 hr cool down (lights off) period and the leaves came back to normal SO what i think was the issue was the light was to close to them so i raised it and i will see what will happen..

    Is spraying the leaves necessary?

    AeroPonics And Noob Question

Ok well everyone it just so happened that when attending my baby today i went to go get my spray bottle and i turn around to see my lovely cat eating and pounding away at my beautiful baby! Needless to say i had to put her down (the plant lol) and am starting from scratch.

I do thank you for the responses and will probably post in a few weeks after my next baby(s) are hatched!
