Light bulb vaporizers. What's the fuss about?

Hello everybody. I was reading a lot about vaporizers lately, and I was curious and made a lightbulb one. It took me 10 minutes to make it and I put in maybe 0.2g-0.3g in it.

I kept the flame 1 inch-1.5inches away from the bulb and saw the vapors forming. I proceeded to wait a couple seconds then take a hit. It tasted weird to be honest, but more enjoyable and smoother than if I were smoking it.

I shook the bulb and managed to get 2 more hits before it started tasting bad. The bud was now brown.

This is where I was disappointed. I know I followed the steps on how to vapeorize from a bulb correctly, but the high was not what I expected.

I felt high but it was just so mild. After 30 minutes of the high I decided to vaporize some more. I put about the size of a dime and took hits off that.

I felt higher for the obvious reason but I just didn't feel the hype about vaporizers--actually light bulb vaporizers.

I smoked a bowl and then felt a lot higher.

Is this normal? Everybody seems to say light bulb vaporizers save weed and get you higher, but to me it felt like a little waste.

I had this EXACT experience last weekend. I was all excited about the possibilities and followed almost exactly what you described above. My brother was following along too and we were even taking notes as to timing and amounts and it just didn't pan out. It was like we hit a mildly buzzed plateau and thats it after like 90 minutes of trying. Finally we said screw it, smoked ONE bowl and in 15 minutes we were flying.

I don't get it. ????

Did you grind the weed up really (I mean REALLY) fine?

I've never used a lightbulb vape tbh - but THC will vape at about 185 C and 200C is all good. Maybe it was too hot, tricky to judge temps I'm sure

made one this weekend and have the exact same effects after two trials, im a little disappointed

just stick to REAL smoke. Ive had lightbulb vapes and real vapes, nothing gets me higher than a blunt.
