Does a heat gun vape really work?

I've seen some videos on YouTube that have some guys filling up a small bowl with weed, then turning on (an adjustable) heat gun to 160-180 degrees and the vapor goes into a (heat resistant) plastic bag.

Anybody ever hear of this? Will it work?

thats one of the best ways to do it, its a similar concept to the volcano, the volcano just blows hot air through the weed to vaproize it.

A heat gun is what I had planned on using originally, but I need to be able to control the speed of the fan. Also, that 160-180 is Celsius. You need to heat the weed up to about 380 F.
