No pics, no clear diagnosis.
Doesn't sound like overwatering alone. Sounds like overfert or pH or both. 'Crispy' doesn't come from excess water alone.
Why would you purposely damage roots on an already stressed plant?

Drill more holes, and big ones, in the sides of your pot as an emergency measure to get more oxygen to the root zone.

You couldn't post, but you could still read, and this is advice that has been given to a couple other people recently with soggy dirt problems...

Ive Overwatered-am i screwed? unfortunately, i messed up big and couldnt post because of my ban, so my plants are bad shape now. of my 4 plants, 3 are almost totally dead from overwatering on saturday. all the fan leaves have drooped and gone crispy, and the stems have turned yellowy. the other one is ok, but its got a small amount of nute burn in its leaves that should dissipate soon i hope. the plants are all about 5 weeks flowering, and my seed-bearer is one of the dying ones, which is the root of my upset. if i Rating: 5
