I am a young buck, not even a quarter of a century.. I dont often feel old in the sense of a deteriorating body, or loss of mental faculties.... however, at times I feel ancient. And I cannot explain it.

Just went off to college 5 hours away in august.
the big lifestyle change makes me feel like the beginning of a later chapter in life.

At 45 and feeling 65 yes, I feel old.
Arthritis, bursitis or however it is spelled, broken bones, titanium plates & stainless screws and dis-located joints along with a bad back that needs a fusion operation I will not get.
Physically I feel like I am old. Mentally I am still a 12 year old.

definitely feel the oldest when i wake up the day after a football game and realize that i just cannot move. lol, but besides that i feel pretty lively.
