Is Pot good for your heart?

Everyone knows that weed speeds up your heart rate around %50. Is this good for you? I mean, when you run your heart speeds up, which allows you to burn fat in your arteries and views, overall improving your stamina and health.

So is smoking good for your heart, considering you don't pig out completely? I wonder if it prevents heart disease or improves your overall health.

Lemme know. If you have a source, that would be awesome.

i dont know... but some times i smoke its like my heart skips a few beats every now and then, like a mirmor or something... i dont know if tis from the pills i have popped in the past, or if its from the pot... im guessing the pills....

Well... after i started to smoke i am FAR less stressed and much more peaceful, almost zen... also i dont am so sensitive to the passions, emotions and feelings as i were before... and when stoned im more loving, more kind and a far better person... so, for me weed is very good to my heart... in all senses!

Smoking is comparable to going for a jog. If you don't think your heart can handle that, then don't smoke.

The increase in melatonin-levels is one way it prevents cancer and heart disease.

For some people, yes, its VERY good, and for others, it's not good. It depends. On what, however, i am not sure.

From what I've read, after the typical male has reached 45, his risk of heart attack doubles while stoned (because of increased heartrate).....but having sex increases a 45 yr old male's risk of heart attack about the same amount. I read this article about 5 years ago.
