Second Hand Smoke - drug testing......am I being overly worried?

I have been clean for two months and will be drug tested in about 10 days. I'm not worried about testing positive from my own use, however, I live with someone who smokes at least once a day. When she smokes we always open the window, and I never find myself in a cloud of smoke.

I get nervous I am inhaling small quantities of smoke on a consistent daily basis, and therefore slowly increasing the ng/ml of the THC byproduct tested for in UA. Is this a legitimate concern, or am I overreacting like I normally do? I have taken a few home tests using my first pee of the day, and I have always passed those. Do I need to be concerned about second hand smoke in a large room with the window open? Will the UA I am getting have a 50 ng/ml cutoff like the home tests I use?

If you've tested yourself and been clean you'll be fine.
They'll use the 50ng cutoff rate.

Here's my situation- 2 medical users, two non-users (my adult sons). I toke several times a day, as does the hubby. We smoke, eat, and vape.

My younger son had the same worries that you have. So we tested him- ZERO! He is always here when we use, and we don't open windows, turn on the fan, etc. It would be very unlikely that you would test positive since your lady opens the window and you aren't "in a cloud of smoke". The tests that you bought are the same as many businesses use. Believe them. (Businesses don't spend a penny more than they have to, so usually they get the "el cheapo" brands!) Storm Crow, glad to know that someone else can relate to my situation. I have always heard you need to have "extreme exposure" i.e. hotboxing a car, to fail a UA.

Unless you're in a fogged out car then you should be fine, esspecially since you tested yourself.

You really need more than just an enclosed space. You need an enclosed space and a large amount of pot smoking going on. It is possible to get second hand exposure but it would require smoking 10 blunts or more (just an example) in a small minivan or air tight closet. Remember, exhaled smoke contains very little THC as it is almost instantly absorded by the lungs. Casual second hand smoke isn't going to show up and that is what most second hand smoke is, casual and insignificant.

FBR......if I am around my roommate for about 5 sessions a week lasting about 5-10 minutes with the window open and a small fan blowing in the living room, do you think I am cracked out when I think I could slowly be accumulating small amounts of thc in my body?

Taking into account I am around the smoke maybe 5 times for 5 minutes a week, with the window open and fan on, what do you think my ng/ml would be on a GC/MS test. I know this is tough for you to estimate on, but do you think my levels are real low (10 ng/ml), or might they have risen over time and consistency of exposure?

I know Storm Crow sort of touched on this, but I was just curious to get your opinion if you wouldn't mind. Thanks much.
