Storing bud in cold temp

Hey, for the next 2-3 months i gotta stealth smoke and hide everything. I keep my bud in a mason jar and for my circumstances im keeping that mason jar inside a basement ceiling(the ceiling has panels and they lift up), the only thing is it is really cold in this ceiling, would the cold air outside the mason jar effect my bud at all? I put an empty jar in there yesterday and today when i took it out it was pretty cold.

Cold storage is the best way to preserve potency. Does it freeze? If it will reach freezing temperatures you better make sure it is TOTALLY DRIED before letting it freeze.

also i put the bud in individual little baggies then into the jar, i guess i wont know till i just try it, but i hate wasting any bud so anymore input is appreciated, mabye ill jsut put a towel or something to keep it warm around the jar

dont waste time with the baggies dude,that just a smokin foul just put the buds in the mason jar,the secret to mason jars is making sure that the lid has a perfect fit,if it doesnt switch em till it does.

I'm pretty sure cold temperature helps preserve the bud. Don't store it there if it gets cold enough to freeze though, just so it's refrigerated.

yeah the cold air will be good for keeping it potent. i put good buds in my freezer in a glass vial all the time. just make sure it isnt wet otherwise youll be seeing some crystals... not the good crystals =p

just one more stupid question....by frozen do you mean if like there is frost or mositure or something like that inside the jar..srry for all the annoying questions i just like to know alot of details about everything

Its not good if there is liquid inside the jar because the bud could get moldy. Make sure the mason jars are air tight.
