I finally got the pics up, and i havent used any ferts or nutes in the soil so whatever is in there is from the orignal soil. I hope there isnt manure in there.

A little help please.... :)
hey guys,
So here is an update of my little baby and unfortunately it still hasn't seemed to grow too much and it has been about a week since the last set of pics i posted. I am in the process of setting up a new grow box even though i don't think that is the problem and i simply am coming to the conclusion that it must be the soil i used. I am watering the plant about every 3 days as it seems to be when the soil needs it (dries up) and have just begun using nutes (10-15-10) but am only using half the recommended dosage to begin with. I still cannot figure out why i am getting so little growth out of this little bitch. That is why it think it must be the soil as I am using 4-27 watt cfls (daylight) right now.
Could i be watering too much? I just cannot figure it out as it is not growing up at all just new sets of leafs on top of new sets of leaves. I am thinking of buying a 400w hps (or higher) for my new box can anyone recommend a set that i can find of ebay? or another online site?
anyways thanks guys, do you guys thikn it might be worth getting some new soil and restarting from scratch?Everything I say in this forum is a lie or fiction, this is all for fun, any pictures I post are freely available on the internet. That plant looks a whole lot better.
It is possible for a plant to outgrow the conditions that caused it to suffer fert scorch as a seedling- you see it has several sets of adult leaves now? IT is old enough to handle the ferts in da dirt. You got lucky, and it looks ike your lighting is adequate.
For next time, start plants in party-cup sized pots or smaller. I imagine you are trying to avoid transplanting? Too much media too early in life just leads to lots and lots of action UNDERGROUND, and the plant will still end up pot bound and need transplanting on a similar schedule anyway.
The concept of 'transplant shock' applies to plants that were mishandled during transplant. If you do it correctly, there's no shock or setback, and you will see an explosion in growth surprisingly soon after the transplant.
Your plant is fine. Be careful now not to overwater the POT- water only in the immediate area of the plant until it is larger, under what is termed the plant's 'drip line'- approximately the area shaded by the leaves. That's a workable measure of where the roots are concentrated.

Great thanks stinky, I actually did begin them in styrofoam cups but obviously got ahead of myself and transplanted it into a larger pot and then transplanted it again into th epot that you can see. I will be starting another one somewhat soon when i get this next project finished and i will use a lot more patience than i have with this little op. i am still quite excited with this little girl though and am hoping that i see some real growth soon.
I have just begun using nutes on her (hopefully her) and like i said they are 10-15-10 and am only using half the dosage as of right now. I simply cannot find any fox farms products at my local greenhouse. i went yesterday and seemed to find everything else. IS there anything else you recommend or do you know a spot i can find them on the net?
I picked up some miracle grow bloom builder for the future (whenever it is i get to flowering) and am using a schultz nutes solution right now, should this do instead of the fox farms?

Can anyone give me a hand with the above questions. My plant still hasnt really taken off and it was planted nov 15th or so. I just cant figure out what it would be? Stinky if you read this have u seen plants like this stay so small before? It is honestly only 3-4 inches tall and it has been a long time now. Like i said at the beginning i transplanted it early but i still am not seeing much growth up but it is growing new leaves? Could this be normal? Oh i am also switching it to under a 1000w mh very soon ( as soon as it arrives) and am gonna start a few more in my new cabinet. I tihnk i already have somewhat adequate light as it is so i dont tihnk that s the problem with it growing so slow

It might just need a couple of weeks to recover from earlier stresses.
Patience.
There are hundreds of nutes to choose from, from dozens of manufacturers...Fox Farms has always done me good, and is available from many websites. However, whichever one you use, ALWAYS dilute as directed before application.
Never add nutes, without mixing with water, first. It's like burning your hand with acid...then pouring water on it to dilute the acid. The damage is already done. If you've been doing this, I'd strongly recommend a good flush with ph adjusted water.
You may want to go ahead and start your next crop, tho. Not going to be very cost-effective growing 1 (struggling) plant under a 1000w HID. How big is your grow cabinet, because those 1000w lamps get pretty darned hot.

regarding nutes i never apply just directly i always dilute with water and have been seeing a increased rate of growth in leaves since i started using them. I just began using molasses with my last application of nutes and water and the plant seems to be enjoying it.
I am guessing that i will be starting another plant or two soon as my new cab will be able to hold them, but i still will be struggling with space to not have a heat problem. The cool tube or cooled reflector will be my only hope as i a only have about 2w'x4l'x4h to work with. I am guessing i will be uilding a bigger cab sooner than later. If anyone else who is unexperienced is reading this make sure you plan before you purchaseor get ready to spend cash like i am. It now will e a long time before this pays off. None the less i am glad i am not supporting asian gangs or HA anymore.
With the specs of my cab above, how much trouble do you think i will be in with heat problems. I am planning to have 2 computer fans at the top taking the hot air out and obviously wil lhave 2-3 ducts in the bottom for air coming in. Do you think the cool tube be a guaranteed necessity? I will post a pic or two soon of my plant after a day or so since last pics
