    Tie down or top?

Hi guys. I need some opinions from some experienced growers.

I had some problems earlier in my grow and let my plant veg too long while I was trying to fix them. Now that I've got everything going well, the plant is growing like mad, which is good. But I'm running out of room.

The plant has been on 12/12 for 16 days now. I topped it when it was about 3 weeks old, so I've got 5-6 "main" stems. All of them have grown a little bit above the main canopy of the plant. Two of them - the ones directly under the HPS - have grown even more than the others. They're about 6 inches taller than the rest of the plant. They seem to be trying their hardest to grow into the HPS lol.

Unfortunately, I've only got about a foot more room in which I can raise the light. So I've got to do something about these two branches.

Do I try to tie them down, or should I just go ahead and top them again?

Forgot to attach the pic. The arrows point to the two branches in question. This picture was taken yesterday morning, and those two branches grew another inch last night lol.

I would just bend them over, and tie them down ... topping is usually OK, too, but can stress the plant if over-done ... nice plants ...

I would also tie them down, I use clothes pins on branches to weigh them down, you could give it a try.

They're White Widow from Dr. Chronic under 400w HPS. And, yeah, I love that hydro hut. Best thing since sliced bread, let me tell ya lol.

Tying them down may be a bit tricky. The stems are incredibly thick, and not very flexible. A couple of weeks ago when I switch to 12/12 I accidently leaned against one of the branches and it broke clean off. But maybe at least I can pull them out from being directly under the light. And I think, if I maybe change how the light is suspended I can get another 6-12 inches in room....maybe.

I'm really hoping they're at the end of their pre-flowering stretch. I've got just enough room for some nice colas if they don't get much taller heh.
