and once again you fail to recognize that it's not just the us that is trying to stop nuclear proliferation, but world opinion as a whole. is it so odd that the world would not want a country whose recent history includes harboring terrorist training camps, open threats directed at their neighbors and a general hostility toward the entire non-islamic world to get their hands on some of the most devastating weapons known to mankind? considering how pakistan spread nuclear weapons technology around not so long ago, it seems a bit naive to believe that iran would be any more reticent to hand out such weaponry to some rather nasty folks.

But you do not personally know that they were harboring terrorists. You've only heard that. Unless you are in the CIA or some other intelligence agency, I don't think you can accurately say that they've harbored terrorists. They like to say and lie about a lot. Were there WMD's in Iraq? No, but before they didn't find any, most people thought there were. I just don't see how you can take their word for it... it's all pro-war propaganda...

Do you know how to make a nuclear bomb? No, I didn't think so. It takes more than just enriched uranium to make a nuke. Iran isn't a threat but we keep threatening them in the media and we have american leaders speaking openly about wanting to bomb Iran. You are falling right into pure neo-conservative propaganda. cynicism can only be taken so far and still remain rational. one set of lies does not necessarily lead to another and taking for granted that everything the administration says is a lie is a useless waste of pointless malice. as usual, y'all seem intent on laying the entire mess at the us's feet even though it is a matter of world wide opinion and foretelling the us invasion of iran as though it were a foregone conclusion. there seems to be little point in discussion with those who can only see the us as the great satan and refuse to even entertain the notion that there might be some greatness left in the country.
