so basically just make sure i have 4 holes on the bottom of my container and there start running water through the plant thoroughly?

So its currently in a large container with soil from my garden and a mesh screen ontop to keep out bugs. I keep a direct light over it for about 12 hours a day. here is a picture of my plant 4 days ago. 3 Days ago I bought some nutrients (15-30-15).
